Hi, I'm Kit Kline.

Grounded in Care. Rooted in Nature.

Founder of Nature Based Therapy
Clinical Social Worker
Supervisor & Coach

Kit Kline is a highly experienced clinical social worker, therapeutic counsellor, and trainer with over two decades of dedication to mental health, trauma recovery, and addiction support. She is the founder and director of Nature Based Therapy, a social enterprise that integrates nature as a central healing modality for individual and community well-being.

Kit is a proud descendant of the Wampanoag people, with German, Irish, and Scottish ancestry. Her work is deeply informed by her heritage and lifelong commitment to social and environmental justice. She weaves Indigenous knowledge, holistic healing, and nature-based wisdom into every aspect of her work — bringing a grounded, authentic, and culturally aware approach to both healing and professional development.

Her career has spanned community health, Aboriginal health services, residential rehabilitation, youth support, and private practice. Kit is a Certified Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner, accredited Clinical Supervisor, and educator in mental health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), and youth work.

Nature is My Teacher

Nature Based Therapy isn’t just something I teach;
it’s the way I live, work, and support others.

It’s my response to a world that often forgets we are nature. This approach brings together trauma-informed care, deep listening, and connection to the living world to support sustainable healing for people, communities, and the Earth.
